Archetypes of the Feminine

  • Mycelium Space Station Approach Frome, England, BA11 United Kingdom (map)

Create lasting sisterhood connections as we explore the diverse facets of femininity, using myths and deities from around the world to help us navigate our lives with greater awareness and agency.

We will interrogate the societal expectations placed upon women, unravelling layers of ‘good girl’ conditioning, and claiming parts of the feminine that are still seen as taboo.

Using embodiment techniques, group enquiry, inner child practice and boundary work  we will rewrite our unconscious conditioning, and take steps towards embodying our power, both soft and fierce.

Rewriting the story of womanhood starts with you. What legacy do you want to pass on?

This weekend is the first of a 3 part series in exploring the major feminine archetypes: Maiden, Warrior, Lover, Mother, Queen and Priestess.

We begin our journey with an intimate exploration of the Maiden and the Warrior; almost opposing archetypes, when combined their forces amplify each of their innate gifts.

★★★★★ "Gaia's circle space was absolutely transformational! A practical, emotional and educational process with a perfect pace. This program definitely has a lasting impact, gave me direction and enriched my mental toolbox for life. I have a deeper sense of connectedness with myself and others." - Orshi

Some of the themes we will work with

Gifts of the maiden:

  • Joy and Innocence: How a lack of safety creates a hardening to joy, and how to relax our nervous system into a state of receptivity and innocence.

  • Play: Letting go of the fear of looking foolish, using theatre games to awaken spontaneity, creativity and wildness.

Shadow of the maiden:

  • People Pleasing: Why we compromise ourselves for others and how to break out of Good Girl conditioning.

  • Victim Mindset: Why the play out ‘damsel in distress’ or ‘offending from the victim position’ and how to claim power by taking responsibility for the narrative.

Gifts of the warrior:

  • Clarity and Direction: Reconnecting us with our desires, finding our true YES and practicing asking for what we want

  • Boundaries: An embodied exploration of why it feels hard to say NO, and practicing how to set health limits with love

Shadow of the Warrior:

  • Hardness: How a lack of safety can create a hardening or numbness, and how to provide inner security to let our guard down

  • Aggression/ Depression: What happens when we suppress rage, and how releasing in a healthy way unlocks our ability to set healthy boundaries

★★★★★"I have been deeply moved by what I discovered and inspired to carry the work forward in my own offerings of service. I would highly recommend this course to anyone considering it. My deepest gratitude for the beacon of light & contribution Gaia is upholding in guiding the feminine to empowerment." - Emily
